The General Directorate of Meteorology reported that strong rainfall (from 30 to 110 mm), strong local wind gusts (75-100 km per hour), and snowfalls (from 15 to 40 cm) at heights exceeding 1,700 meters, are expected starting today. Friday and until the day after tomorrow, Sunday, in a number of regions of the Kingdom.
The directorate stated, in a warning bulletin from a red alert level, that strong rainfall (from 70 to 110 mm) is expected in Chefchaouen from three in the morning on Saturday until six in the morning on Sunday.
She added that strong rainfall (vigilance level: orange), measuring between 30 and 70 mm, is also expected in Tangier-Asilah, Fahs-Anjra, M'diq-Fnideq, Tetouan, Larache, Ouzane, Al Hoceima, Taounate, Taza, Meknes, Sidi Kacem, Khenifra and Kenitra, starting at midnight on Saturday. Until three o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday.
The General Directorate of Meteorology indicated that strong local winds are expected (vigilance level: orange), with speeds ranging between 75 and 85 kilometers per hour, in M'diq-Fnideq, Larache, Tangier-Asilah, Fahs-Anjra, Tetouan, Kenitra, Rabat and Salé. Saturday, starting at midnight until six in the evening on Sunday.
Strong local winds (from 85 to 100 km/hour) are also expected in the prefectures and provinces of Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Driouch, Nador, Berkane, Oujda Angad, Jerada, Figuig, Taourirt, Guercif, Taza, Boulemane, Sefrou, Fez, Moulay Yacoub, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Midelt, Figuig, Tinghir and Ouarzazate, starting on Friday at eight in the evening.
