A statement from the Royal Court stated that King Mohammed VI brings with great joy to the Moroccan people the news that the International Football Association Board has unanimously approved the Morocco-Spain-Portugal bid as the sole candidacy to organize the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

The following is a statement from the Royal Court that will be published for you as we received it:

 “His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory, announces with great joy to the Moroccan people the news that the International Football Association Board has unanimously approved the Morocco-Spain-Portugal bid as the sole candidacy to organize the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

This decision represents a tribute and recognition of the special position that Morocco enjoys among major nations.

On this occasion, His Majesty the King expressed his congratulations to the Kingdom of Spain and the Republic of Portugal. His Majesty reiterated the commitment of the Kingdom of Morocco to work, in full integration, with the bodies in charge of this file in the host countries.
