The Appeals Committee of the Confederation of African Football decided to cancel the suspension penalty for four matches, two of which were suspended, that it had previously issued against the national voter, Walid Regragui, against the backdrop of the events witnessed at the end of the match between Morocco and the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the second round of Group Six. As part of the Africa Cup of Nations, hosted by Côte d'Ivoire.
The Royal Moroccan Football League stated, on its website, that the CAF Appeals Committee also canceled the financial fine it had issued against the national voter, noting that the cancellation decision came after it heard the Royal Moroccan Football League’s pleas.
The Disciplinary Committee of the Confederation of African Football suspended the national team coach, Walid Regragui, for four matches, two of which were suspended. Subsequently, the national voter watched the Atlas Lions match against Zambia from the stands of the Laurent Boco Stadium in San Pedro.
It should be noted that the national team, the leader of Group Six, will face its South African counterpart, the second qualifier from Group Five, in the round of 16, next Tuesday at nine o’clock in the evening at the Laurent Bocot Stadium.
