Yesterday, Friday, in Rabat, the Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, launched a broad awareness campaign to educate citizens about the necessity of conserving water.
This campaign, which was launched on the sidelines of World Water Day (March 22), revolves around three stages, the first of which relates to an awareness campaign on the importance of water resources, to enhance awareness among citizens regarding the challenges of water stress that the Kingdom is facing.
The second phase concerns an awareness-raising campaign about practical behaviors that can be taken to conserve water and reduce wasteful use, while the third concerns a transparent information campaign to the public about the preventive measures and measures taken (at the national, regional and local levels).
This broad campaign, which will extend throughout the year 2024, will be gradually broadcast across the main channels of national radio and television, in addition to the most important digital media sites and social networks.
It should be noted that World Water Day, which is commemorated this year under the slogan “Water for Peace,” constitutes an occasion to reaffirm that water management may contribute to strengthening pluralism and bonds among the population, as well as resilience to climate disasters.
