The Economic Social and Environmental Council discusses the issue of children’s use of social networks at its 155th session✍️👇👇👇
The Economic, Social and Environmental Council held, the day before yesterday, Thursday, the 155th regular session of its General Assembly, headed by Ahmed Reda Shami, President of the Council.
A statement to the Council stated that the work of this session witnessed the presentation and discussion of a draft opinion on the issue of children’s use of social networking sites.
The same communication highlighted that the Council intends, through this opinion, to study the risks associated with children’s use of social networking sites.
On the other hand, the same source adds, the work of the General Assembly included completing the first stage of the process of annual renewal of the council’s organs, in accordance with the provisions of the organizational law and internal regulations of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council, related to the election of representatives of the five groups of which it is composed.
The same communication indicated that the Council is expected to complete this process immediately after electing the chairs and rapporteurs of the seven permanent committees within the coming days.
