A multidisciplinary medical and nursing team at the Razi Hospital, affiliated with the Mohammed VI University Hospital Center in Marrakech, recently succeeded in performing a delicate surgical operation to replant an amputated hand, which was crowned with success.
The center stated in a statement that the operation was performed on a 52-year-old man who suffered a complete amputation of his right wrist as a result of an accident involving an electric saw.
The same source added that this complex and delicate surgical intervention took about seven hours of continuous work, followed by more than ten days of close medical monitoring to ensure that the amputated hand regained its functions and vitality.
The statement confirmed that the patient is currently in good health and is still in the Orthopedics and Joints Department at Al-Razi Hospital, where he is receiving the necessary treatments and care, including medical rehabilitation sessions to ensure the best possible recovery.
