The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced that Saturday is the first of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah of the year 1445, and that Eid al-Adha will be on Monday, June 17, 2024.
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs concluded in a report, a copy of which was received by NajibpressENG website today, Saturday, to the attention of male and female citizens, that it observed the crescent of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah for the year 1445 AH after sunset yesterday, Friday, 29 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1445 AH, corresponding to June 7, 2024 AD. The sighting of the crescent moon was legally proven.
Therefore, the first of Dhul-Hijjah is today, Saturday, June 8, 2024 AD, and Eid Al-Adha will be on Monday, June 17, 2024 AD.
The statement added: “May God grant this blessed month and happy Eid al-Adha to our maoulana , Commander of the Faithful and protector of the homeland and religion, His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory in Yemen, goodness, good news and blessings, and to his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness the Honorable Prince Moulay El Hassan, and his happy guardian, His Royal Highness the Glorious Prince Moulay Rashid, and the rest of the members of the honorable royal family, with happiness and contentment, and the Moroccan people and the entire Islamic nation with progress and prosperity. He is All-Hearing and Answering.”
