Signing of a memorandum of understanding between Morocco and the Republic of Peru to enhance judicial cooperation✍️👇👇👇



Today, Monday in Rabat, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Supreme Council of the Judicial Authority and the judicial authority in the Republic of Peru, setting the general framework for demarcating cooperation and coordination between the two parties.


This memorandum, which was signed by the First President of the Court of Cassation, the President-Delegate of the Supreme Judicial Council, Mohamed Abdel Nabawi, and the Head of the Judicial Authority of the Republic of Peru, Javier Arevalo Villa, aims to exchange experiences and expertise between the two judicial authorities in areas of common interest, and enhance the capabilities of the two countries’ judges in the areas of Multiple.


The memorandum also stipulates the implementation of mutual obligations and tasks between the two sides in the areas that fall within their jurisdiction, and “strengthening management and coordination mechanisms, and strengthening bilateral international cooperation through exchanging experiences on judicial issues through organizing conferences, study days, symposiums, and bilateral or multilateral forums on topics of interest.” Joint cooperation and enhancing cooperation between the judicial authorities of the two countries.”


The memorandum also includes an agreement on mutual support and the development of coordination procedures and strategies to combat cross-border crimes, cybercrimes, and crimes committed against vulnerable persons, as well as electronic procedures, courts specialized in flagrante delicto and other common interests, as well as organizing mutual visits and high-level training courses in the field. The judiciary “in order to exchange experiences to enhance judicial administration,” and to enhance technical cooperation in the administrative and financial field “to benefit from experiences and best practices in this field.”


The head of the judiciary of the Republic of Peru said, in a statement to the press, that his visit to Morocco aims to sign a memorandum of understanding with the judicial authority of the Kingdom of Morocco and to strengthen relations between the judicial authorities of the two countries.


After stressing that the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the judicial field are promising, he expressed the Peruvian side’s aspiration to strengthen cooperation ties with Morocco, “which is a friendly country with Peru with which it has very positive relations.”


For his part, a member of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Authority, Mohamed Nasser, recorded in a similar statement that the memorandum of understanding between Morocco and Peru aims to strengthen the capabilities of judges in the two countries, and also envisages the exchange of experiences and expertise between the judicial authorities of the two countries, especially in areas of common interest.
