The Algerian team, USM Algiers, withdrew today, Sunday, from its match against RS Berkane, for the second leg of the African Confederation Cup semi-final, which was scheduled to take place on the grounds of the municipal stadium in the city of Berkane, starting at eight in the evening.


In the first-leg match for the same round, which was scheduled last Sunday in Algeria, but was not held, the Clubs Committee of the Confederation of African Football ruled, unanimously among its nine members during the meeting it held last Wednesday, that the Algerian team would lose with an apology (3-0), while keeping the return match. At the municipal stadium in Berkane on time.


The committee also decided to refer the file to the Disciplinary Committee to consider the possibility of adding disciplinary penalties.


The Appeals Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the day before yesterday, Friday, rejected the appeal of the Algerian team USM Algiers against the decision of the CAF Clubs Committee, which awarded the victory to the RS Berkane team by three goals to nothing, confirming the previous decisions of the Clubs Committee.
