A report from the General Directorate of National Security stated that the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaïd, the Director-General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchi, and the Chairman of the National Committee for Monitoring the Protection of Personal Data, Omar Al-Saghroshni, said that an agreement had been signed regulating cooperation between the signatory parties to exploit the “Personal Data Protection” platform. National Trust”, which relies on the electronic national identity application created by the General Directorate of National Security for the national bodies responsible for verifying identity in online services.

The same communication, a copy of which was received by Najibpress today, Friday, explained that this agreement aims to protect beneficiaries of the digital services of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication within the framework of the digital identity system, by strengthening authentication and identification procedures. Thanks to this agreement, the Ministry will gain the necessary tools to verify the identity of users who require access to its digital services, which contributes to preventing the misuse of the identity of others to obtain services provided by the Ministry that require identity verification, such as the youth passport, artist card, and others.

He added, "This agreement also comes within the framework of improving, simplifying and securing access to the Ministry's digital services, taking into account respect for the protection of users' personal data. It also opens the door for the Ministry to benefit from service technology available through the electronic national identification card in the fields of youth, culture and communication."
