Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch confirmed today, Wednesday, that 1,440,000 families have benefited from the direct social support program, with a financial cover exceeding 524 million dirhams, noting that the government has disbursed the first payments of this program to families who meet the conditions for benefit, on December 28, before The end of the year 2023, as King Mohammed VI had previously called for.

Akhannouch highlighted, at the beginning of the Government Council meeting, that this process, which is taking place under the best conditions, has received great response from Moroccan families, as the electronic portal for direct social support, www.asd.ma, has reached today’s limits of approximately 2.9 million people. One million applications.

The government official explained that more than 64 percent of the applications concern monthly grants for school and non-school children, while more than 34 percent of them relate to applications for partial assistance (500 dirhams), and 273 applications for a maternity grant.

The Prime Minister stated that families who had submitted their applications after last December 10 will receive the December and January payments at the end of this month, reassuring all citizens, both male and female, about future benefit from this historic royal workshop, as they still have the opportunity to submit applications in order to obtain The amount of support if they meet the conditions for benefit.

Regarding the direct housing support program, Akhannouch recorded that, in implementation of the royal directives, during the working session chaired by the King on October 17, 2023, the government gave the actual start of this program at the beginning of this January, as it opened the door to receiving applications through the “Housing Support” electronic portal, Which was launched at the beginning of this January, explaining that this program aims to facilitate the access of low-income and middle-class female and male citizens to housing, reduce the housing deficit, accelerate the pace of completion of the “Cities Without Slums” program, increase the housing supply, give a strong impetus to the housing sector and stimulate the sector. private.

He added that Moroccans residing in Morocco or abroad will equally benefit from this new program, which reflects the centrality of Moroccans abroad in government programs.

Akhannouch called on members of the government and the various governmental sectors affiliated with them to continue working diligently and redouble efforts to complete the implementation of various social and strategic projects, which will reflect positively on the daily living of male and female citizens and contribute to the advancement of the Kingdom, stressing that the year 2024 will be the target for continuing the implementation of various strategic projects and government programmes.
