Today, Thursday, the Government Council approved draft Law N. 58.23 related to the direct social support system, presented by the Minister in charge of relations with Parliament, the official government spokesman, Mustafa baitass, taking into account the comments raised.

Baitass explained, during a press interview following the weekly meeting of the Government Council, that “this project falls within the framework of the continuous development that our country is witnessing thanks to the major projects and reforms that consolidate its social and development model, which was strengthened by social protection workshops, launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.” God save him".

The same spokesman added that after the actual implementation of the first part of the social protection workshops, related to the generalization of basic compulsory insurance for sickness, and in implementation of the high royal directives included in the royal speech on the occasion of the opening of the first session of the third legislative year of the eleventh legislative term, through which His Majesty affirmed the The necessity of activating the direct social support program starting in December 2023.

According to the Minister, this draft law also includes some framing rules not to combine benefiting from the subsidies specified in this draft law with family subsidies or compensation granted in accordance with other legislative or regulatory texts.
