The Washington Post reported, citing authorities in the city of Butler, where the attempted assassination of former US President Donald Trump occurred, that the suspect in the shooting had been killed.
“One of the attendees was killed, the shooter died, and another person is in serious condition,” the newspaper wrote, quoting its interlocutor.

Butler County Prosecutor Richard Goldinger also confirmed that Trump was shot but was fine. A member of the public and the shooter were killed. Adding that another person is in serious condition.
Secret Service members responsible for the security of presidents and former presidents evacuated Trump from a platform during an election rally on Saturday after gunshots and escorted him to his car, and the former US president was seen with blood smeared on his right ear.
