The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdel Jalil, confirmed today, Friday in Rabat, that Morocco is determined to complete all projects related to the Kingdom’s organization, along with Spain and Portugal, of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, in order to provide transportation services worthy of this major global event.


Abdel Jalil said, in a statement to the press prior to a meeting between the Ministry of Transport and Logistics and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, represented by its president, Faouzi Lakjaa, that in implementation of the high directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, “Morocco is committed to making all the necessary investments so that transport services live up to the level of aspirations.”


This meeting took place in the presence of the President and Director-General of Royal Air Maroc, Abdelhamid Adou, the Director-General of the National Railways Office, Mohamed Rabih Al-Khelai, and the Director-General of the National Airports Office, Habiba Lakalesh.


In this regard, Abdel Jalil pointed out that this meeting constitutes an opportunity to consider the “final touches” that will be placed on the file for organizing the 2030 World Cup in the field of transportation.


On May 2, the headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior hosted an expanded meeting as part of the intensive preparations in preparation for organizing the 2030 FIFA World Cup, and in line with the vision and the high royal will carrying a strong ambition aimed at achieving great success in organizing this edition of the global competition.


This meeting was attended by the Minister of the Interior, the Minister of Equipment and Water, the Minister of National Education, Primary Education and Sports, the Minister of National Territorial Preparation, Construction, Housing and City Policy, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, the Minister of Transport and Logistics, and the Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget.


This meeting was devoted to coordination between all relevant government sectors, and establishing a unified system for joint collective action and an integrated roadmap, the basis of which is the optimal activation of commitments and achieving the synergy of initiatives and interventions and the harmony of their programming in an integration of the roles between the various intervening parties, in a way that would provide all the conditions and capabilities to ensure the success of The Kingdom wins the bet of organizing this global sporting event, alongside Spain and Portugal.
